So I decided to be a cheap bastard and get a remanufactured pump from Cardone Industries. They list the same pump for 95-99 D1 which would be the same for a 95 RRC. I get the pump in and go to put the pulley on and it won't fit. I'm thinking it's the paint they put on so I take off all the paint on the pump end. Still won't fit. So in a moment of brilliance I get some longer bolts and try to pull the pulley onto the pump. Well that just ended up bowing out the pulley. The pulley fits fine on the old pump. I even tryed filing down the pulley with no luck. The bitch just won't fit.

So WTF, shouldn't this pulley fit without any problems? Anyone have this happen before?

I did notice there are slight differences between the pumps. The inlet with the hose clamp is different as well as the back of the pump.

That's what I'm trying to do.

I just ended up grinding the old pulley out enough so it would fit on the new pump. It's wobbling a little so I'm going to get a salvaged pulley and see if it fits right off the bat.

The larger hole in the pulley now gives me a 2mm gap around the old pump, yet it fits very tight on the new pump.

I don't get it. I'll report back on how a different pulley fits on this new pump.

Hey Will,

I was actually going to ask if you had any on hand. I don't have the part number in front of me. I will get the number off the pulley in the morning. I need some trim parts too so I'll get it all together and get in touch with you. Thanks.
