So, I've heard about a conversion kit or part number interchange for a power steering pump for my DII in a few different places, but I can't get the final part number or possible vendor for a conversion kit.

I'm just not paying 350+ for a new or rebuilt unit when I am relatively sure that there is another option available.

Thanks in advance,

I can get you a new one for $275 plus shipping-about $20 CONUS.

One year warranty, no cobbling necessary.

Do they still have the cellophane gasket with the alien jizz sealer or have they improved the pumps? My thought is that a DII OEM pump is destined to fail.

dont buy a LR rebuilt, it will fail and make tons and tons of noise in my experience. saw one car get like 4 before they just put a new one on it.

OK, so does anybody know what I'm talking about in regard to the conversion?

Thanks,

not a D2...you can use a gm pump on a d1, but that's a totally different motor

yes it has been spoken about over at other forums. I've not heard about anyone that has actually installed. unfortunately if you want info on it you have to go through the biggest tool on the planet.

Just replaced mine with a rebuilt from Autozone for short $, with a lifetime warranty. so far so good. we will see how long it lasts. I have had good luck with their rebuilt parts before.

Lotus pump is the exact same as the stock d2 pump. Just costs more

Which Lotus?

If recent manufacture, wouldn't that mean a Toyota PAS pump would fit?

Toy doesn't it, that's what I'm running now with a butchered, no wait I'm mean custom bracket
