well i rebuilt a 99 d2 after it had a minor battery related fire, and have it running, i thought pretty well. i took it to the zone to get it scanned today because my check engine light is burned out and i wanted to see if it had any codes. well, like a good little rover it had a couple stored. i have yet to replace either the sai or the ecu from a non-sai car, so keep that in mind. codes are 0453= evap pres high, 0150=o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1, 1668=anti theft something, 0300=random cyl misfire, 0308, 0304, 0302=all equal cyl misfires of cyl #'s 4,8,and2, and 0174= system too lean.

now my question is how much, if any of this does anyone think is related to a missing sai system? or do i need new wires, and plugs, and/or a new maf? and/or o2 sensors? i am hoping that code 1668 is related to a bad p.s. door lock? probably wrong on that too though. :) tia...

i have yet to fill the exhaust holes for the sai. i did though plug the hose the comes from the firewall...capped it and but a filter on it. going to do a search and figure the rest of this out. thank you for your reply. as i was leaning more towards this than any other issues like the maf or other related problems. although it still might be, dunno.

yeah you're shooting raw exhaust into the engine bay.:smilelol: no wonder the ecu is not happy. why not just hook everything up like it was meant to be in the first place?:banghead:

What hose that comes through the firewall? Let's see a pic.

Did you do anything with the evap plumbing? I'm wondering if you confused the Evap plumbing for SAI plumbing.
