This is a trick question!

As if a Range Rover could actually run long enough to use up 31 gallons of fuel---you almost got me!

Now that I think about it, I never once got something from Lucky8 that came with "all the hardware". Even when you buy a $2500 set of their (rebranded) shocks, no way to secure the reservoirs. Buy some HD steering or brake lines and theres no jamb nuts in the package. I think it is a gimmick to keep you calling back, because if you keep calling him back its pretty likely you will spend some more money on cheap made in china parts.

Good grief Joel, we all know you have a RTE hard on but come on. I've ordered from Lucky8 a bunch of times with no problems. There have been a couple times where something was left out but one phone call and I had it in the next day or two.
Everybody knows you're pissy because Justin found a way to make the same product RTE does but for less. If RTE has a patent on it then that will get sorted out. But I'm guessing Justin will sell the snot out of the modified Watts while RTE's sales go down. If you are so tight with RTE tell them to stop selling $13/pair shock mounts for $55 to the Rover community. ;)

Apparently you and everybody else don't really know as much as you think if you think Joel and RTE are that chummy. :bigok:

You and that statement are about as classy as a box of White Zinfandel.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but you guys know how I am...

Sounds just like Safari-Gard with the missing hardware (for the record, I've never had a problem with missing hardware from Justin and Mary always made it good for me with the Old Safari-Gard.

As for the calling so you'll spend more, sounds just like Snap-On :D

L8 is bad and Justin is a meanie

Long story short
Joel is mad because he sold me a bad motor. He said that he had a good 4.6 from a P38. I bought it and did a full reseal and head gaskets. Unfortunately it had a slipped liner. After a phone call to Joel he offered to refund the money for the motor as long as I paid for the shipping.

A-few weeks later Joel called me up screaming like a lunatic telling me I need to send him the money for the motor right now!!!! He said it was my fault that his mortgage was late and that if I did not send him the money for the bad motor I would regret it.

Joel you are correct I do regret buying the motor from you.

Im out the shipping
the gasket kits
got to do a motor swap twice.
and have a pissed off costumer.

Here is the video I sent Joel showing him the block number he sent and the dropped liner.

Brett what has Rovertym got to do with poor service/incomplete orders from Lucky8???? Maybe you think the two things are connected, because today I have shared some of my bad experiences with Lucky8 and last week when Lucky8 announced they were offering a new product that was an obvious copy of the RTE Watts Linkage I posted on facebook that I wasn't surprised at all? Even my twisted mind cant quite connect those dots.

How about the time I bought a $7K Equipe suspension kit from L8 for a customer build, and Justin was supposed to have the lime green springs stripped and powdercoated black. At additional cost of course. Kit arrives, springs are green. Springs get sent back, month later they return, spraypainted black over the green powdercoat.

I think every single person I have talked to about Lucky8 has similar stories to tell. I considered Justin to be a friend and gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time but eventually it simply became bad business to deal with him when there wasn't a single product offering I couldn't find somewhere else from someone who cared to actually send me what I paid for on the first try. It didn't surprise me that when my money stopped heading his way the "friendship" dried up too. Lesson learned.

Now Ive been mature enough to not bring our personal differences up here Justin, because they had nothing to do with the subject. If you want to "go there" well I can't stop you, and I am not afraid because I wasn't in the wrong, but you wont see me posting lies! I would imagine my posting dissatisfaction with your business practices would upset you but screaming threats? And I can't pay my mortgage on time? Are you for real?

Hmm, absolutely not. You may as well forget about your original question. :bigok: I doubt this thread will return to the original topic anytime soon.

Welcome to Dweb

To answer your original question. Safari makes excellent products and all of the mounting hardware will be included. We have sold several Defender kit and they all worked well. Unfortunately I do not have any hands on experience with the RRC tanks.

God forbid someone charge you for a special request like that which costs extra money. How dare he not eat the extra costs himself.

I call shenanigans. Lets see the proof.
