How could it be common knowledge to those who frequent here? The guy disappeared for the last three months (last post prior to this thread 7/27)- doesn't show a lot of ownership or pride in his (online) work. Why are you sticking up for this guy?
Well, Alex, you've been posting here since 2004 so you qualify for those who have been around but evidently not one of those that pay attention. To simply answer your question, a good start would be by reading that little title under his name that says ADMINISTRATOR might be a pretty good clue even for the newest of members that he is some how connected to the site in some official role.

Not to get off topic here...not that we really have over the past 15 pages of posts...

Axel - thanks for clearing up some stuff I've been wondering about since the day I joined Dweb. One question...I joined the lr-discovery Yahoo! group the other day, although it looks like anything I could get there I could get here. I noticed a banner for Dweb videos on their main page, and a sort of "ad" (of the type that is usually tacked onto the end of web-based emails) at the bottom of some posts. Has the tie between Dweb and the group stayed after this time?

Okay...keep yelling at each other. I'll go back to just reading this thread.

Yes, Paul transferred the lr-discovery group to us when he moved on. We also have the lr-freelander group, but it gets virtually no traffic.

I wish I could figure out yahoo groups. Some of the guys were nice enough to invite me to one before, but I was simply too ignorant to participate. I still appreciate the invite, though.

I even tried to chat on yahoo once, that was a sobering experience...

Cheers,

Kennith

Is that what Administrator under his name means?

I know who the site Admins are, but thanks for the lesson. As I stated in my earlier post, it's hard to tell that KVT is an admin because he disappeared for more than 3 months. As I stated in my post, his last post prior to this thread was July 27. Again, as I stated in my post, I think that isn't showing a lot of ownership or pride in his work. And it seems, based on the genesis of this thread, that work ethic transfers to his "side" business as well.

See thats the mistake in your thinking Alex... "Work Ethics". This site is a hobby, not the center of their lives. If one doesn't like the way they run the site, I am pretty sure they will tell you that you are more than welcome to leave. If one owner is involved with personal issues that prevents them from parking their ass on here all day, there is the comfort in knowing they have the other 2 owners/admins that will be watching the site and making sure everything is running.

Chris,

What the heck is going on? I just noticed Ho is over on D-90.com right now and you are hanging out over here. Has the whole order of the Land Rover universe just gone toppsy turrvy? :p

No, it's part of the Dweb/D-90 internship/ cultural exchange program.

And I agree. i think we will close this discussion now. The people who are waiting for racks are free to post relevant feedback in a new thread, if they like.

THAT'S ALL, FOLKS!
