Did you ever have the death wobble with that truck? That might have done it.

I just can't see how the bushing could be damaged like that during the install if a press was used.

Subleted to a machine shop to be pressed.

So they messed them up? I don't get why that matters.

I decided just to mail your books to you, so let me know if you get them. I think they should get there today. Just so you know, I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks in case you try to get in touch with me.

Gordon, maybe you should be more explicit... what brand Poly bushes have you used? What color? Not all poly bushes are the same.

Sorry for the late reply, but we got a newborn so not as much time lately. John I was running the Ironman bushings. At the time they were supposed to be the best. Immediately my truck felt much more responsive but over time and hard offroad use they deteriorated very quickly. They lasted maybe 5 yrs, cant remember for sure. By that time I caught them the front end was actually rotating/twisting so much that the front diff spun a bearing (from the driveshaft actually acting like a bushing). That was kind of my fault though for not keeping a better eye on them. Anyway, I would think the two piece ones would be even worse. If you wheel them I think the sand/muck/mud just takes a toll on them and grinds them up. I went back to rubber about 1 yr ago. For a part time offroad machine they do feel good but I just prefer the rubber now. The color was a purple I think and I used all new bolts. One thing worth mentioning too is that I switched the panhard rod bushings to new rubber. Seemed like it felt better than the polys to me. I did that on advice from others. Gordo
