It looks like we got a few options going here… of course this is a bad time of year because of the whole "family time" stuff.
I am getting a bad power steering pump replaced Friday, so if all goes well I am up for something Saturday at TW, down to Croatan exploring or even hit some mud holes with discokid.

I've never been to Croatan either, what is there? Would it be worth the drive from Wilmington? There used to be some stuff around here, but it's all gone now. I need some places to go other than the 3.5 hour drive to Uwharrie.

I grew up in the Croatan. Anything legal can be wheeled with a 2wd Mazda B2200.
So basically, you're either going to get your truck really dusty legally or you're going to be breaking the law and get your truck very muddy.
So would anyone be interested in making a run through TW (and whatever else we have time for in the area) on the weekend of the 29/30th?

There is a shopping center on TW Alexander dr, about halfway down. It has a Food Lion grocery store The trail head is only about a mile away from there.
