Re-keying locks on 95 RRC

I have lost the only key for my 95 RRC. I don't use an ignition key, just a toggle/push-button start setup.
The rear hatch is from a different truck and I never had a key for it anyway.
Would it be possible to buy two blank keys and have a locksmith cut one for the rear hatch and one for my front doors? Would it be cheaper to buy two front door handles with locks and a rear hatch handle?
If anyone has any advice or the parts I could buy, please let me know.

I say to buy a door lock with key from one of our favorite parts guys, then have the other locks keyed to that. I did the same thing with my old VWs.

Saw Chincoteague and had to ask............is this the RR with gold-painted wheels that used to be the Parker Ranger's truck?

Just curious because she drives a Gwagon now, but I still see the RR on the island

Any locksmith should be able to pull one of the locks and make a key to fit the specific lock. I worked with my dad who is a locksmith growing up and though never did a Land rover I did do many others. You could save some time and $ if you pulled the locks from the doors and hatch and they can make a key to fit either or make them all match.

Well, technically she still owns the RRC, but she lets me use the RRC more since I bought her the G-Wagen!!
That is cool that you know the trucks (and my wife!). Cruise up north Main Street sometime and stop by to say "hi". Getting ready to swap out the 4.2 gasser for a 300tdi that got delivered this week. Christmas presents for me!!!!

LOL - that's cool. It's hard to miss a truck with gold wheels - especially on Chincoteague! Your wife always seems to be on duty when we enter the park (we go fairly regularly, and have for a long time) Did she used to have a vette with a body kit (?) Pretty sad - I remember every car I pass.

Thats great with the 300TDI - must be nice! Good luck with the install.

I'll try to look you up next time we're there. Just spent a week during Thanksgiving.

I can get all new pieces keyed alike.

A new ignition lock assembly, both front doors and the liftgate latch, $662.24 plus postage.

I think it could be done cheaper! :D

That's a bit pricey. Is there a list of BL cars these locks were used in? There's gotta be a source in england making replacement parts for the 100's of models that used them.

Sorry, but the '95 NAS was a rarity. Also, NAS trucks have unique ignition lock assemblies with interlocks the ROW didn't need.

Ah yeah, didn't think about the stupid laws required here.
