Maybe I'm retarded but can one you guys explain how to read an alignment report? The mechanic said it was a fustercluck but the numbers don't make that much sense to me.

it doesn't look like that page is actually telling you anything. I don't have a manual in front of me to look it up but from the column headings that looks like the stock specs and their tolerances. is there another page?

unless their measurements are in the spec. columns and the +/- tolerance columns are the stock variance (all at 0-deg mean). in that case it's just your castor that's out. i'll look at the stock #'s when i get home.

The readings are in the first column of each box. The second and third columns are the - and + tolerences.

So your front castor is supposed to in the range of - 0.8 to + 0.8 but you reading is +3.8. So it's way out of spec.

on a complete print out you should have "before, after and actual total specs" if done correctly. this seems as if someone put it on the aligner, and printed the actual totals with out doing any work what soever.... it shows specs but from what stage? it does not show maximum allowed tolerances so it its hard to decifer it your alingment is off on not......... for all it shows your frame could be bent ever so slight to cause an off spec number, but the person doing the actual job was able to correct it as if nothing is wrong therefore giving you and off number.....
it is just figure of speech I am not impliying your truck is damaged in any way shape or form

ok so its a total of 3" of lift. This was the paper on the front seat of the car. I know the guys there fairly well and I'm not looking to sort out foul play. You could feel the difference before and after so we'll have to say that something was done. When I asked for a copy of the printout, he told me it was in the car. this is all I got. When I actually sat down to look it over, it didn't make much sense to me. I was looking for some type of translation as I'm not all that well versed in alignment machines but it's sounding like its not me and it's the printout that doesn't make any sense. Last time I had my defender done at another shop the sheet was totally different. couldn't say what kind of machine he uses, but...maybe I should run it down the block to the other guy and check his work??? still feels like its pulling to the left a bit.
