replaced head gaskets, now throwing codes

I finished up the head gasket replacement and she fired right up. Now I am getting a p0307 code (misfire detected cylinder 7) and a p1316 (excessive emmissions). My biggest worry is the :rant: %^$%&$^* torque specs on the head replacement. 15lb-ft then 90deg turn, then 90deg turn.... wtf kind of messed up shit is that anyway. Why can they not give a final torque setting???:rant:

I am thinking that I now need to replace the o2 sensor downstream on the odd cylinder side where the code is coming from. Any other thoughts as to where this code would come from? Perhaps I messed up the #7 sparkplug or sparkplug wire??

First off, prevailing torque is a more accurate way to gauge fastener tension than torque, that's why all the cool kids are doing it.

Have you thought to look at the plug, wire, injector, compression for cylinder seven?

that is what I am hoping the cause is, the wire and/or the plug. I do not have a compression tester, guess I will need to go to autozone soon.
