RIP

I'm in for a donation. Do any of you have a means to communicate with his wife and see what she needs?

Way too young.
I was just rereading one of my first Dweb threads the other day and Thom was a big help. He a Peter Sherman helped me rebuild my engine. Thom turned me on to some great spots to explore in the UP. And it was Thom that picked up the phone and walked me through a ghetto fuel pump swap in the RadioShack parking lot in Moab six years ago.
He loved Wisconsin, fishing, and his family. I feel honored to have known him and seen him play a little pond hockey in Eagle River.

How does one go about setting up a donation page? I have to confess ignorance here, I've never had any experience with anything like this. Other than sending the family a check directly, is there a better way to go about it?

I have reached out to his brother and asked if a cash donation would be best needed by the family or if Thom might have had a preferred charity that he would have appreciated over help to the family.

Will advise.

I'm still in shock that a gentleman who was as active and fit as Thom was taken down so quickly by such a horrible cancer. Worse yet, he had responded so well to the treatments that they fully expected his complete recovery.

More proof that we roll the dice and hope for the best every day.
