That article never once mentions what instrument he played. He was a keyboardist and was booted out of the band at one point. Roger and he never got along too well.

Cue "The Great Gig in The Sky"

Yeah, it doesn't mention that he was the keyboardist, but it does tell a bit about his problems with Waters. Of course, Gilmour and Waters aren't really drinkin' buddies anymore either, eh?

If you read down further is states:

In the early days of Pink Floyd, Wright, along with Barrett, was seen as the group?s dominant musical force. The London-born musician and son of a biochemist wrote songs and played the keyboard.

?Rick?s keyboards were an integral park of the Pink Floyd sound,? said Joe Boyd, a prominent record producer who worked with Pink Floyd early in its career.

That is truly sad.

I'm getting old. I think Leslie's older though.

I feel better now.

Ha! You got me beat! I saw 'em at Vandy in '94.... (ie, sans Waters....), the Division Bell tour... not my favorite CD of theirs, but hey..... it was still a great show...

'80-'81, I'd have been in elementary school... one of us would've had a cassette of The Wall cranked up in the back of the bus... or Back in Black, or any of Led Zep's.... lol.....

I still like that pre dark side vibe when they were really bluesy best.

You know, most people who are PF fans really do seem to get into the pre-DSOTM stuff, and, while, yeah, I really like it, I still prefer DSOTM, WYWH, and the Wall....

Crap. Now you're depressing me-I graduated high school in '81.

At least my oldest daughter is only a sophomore in High School.
