How is camping regulated in that place? I m guessing certain spots reserved for it and then you just camp within those? Any prohibitions while there?

it is open field camping, the only restriction is fires as it is farmland. tents and tow capmers abound, even the occasional RV.

Yeah what bout the workdays? I d be down for that, as long as its on a weekend. Also is ROAV going to send any paperwork out regarding the event, prior to the event. I know you have to re-register every year. Or they just going to have a list there of who paid online already to renew the membership?

I have not heard of any plans for workdays as of yet. The site survived the 2007 MAR very well so if anything needs done it would amount to just brush clearing. Any planned dates will be posted on the ROAV forum

I believe the plan is a confirmation email or letter to everyone registered, probably a few weeks prior to the event. Your PayPal payment confirmation should also reflect your registration.

There are still a few spots left, but traditionally the last ones fill VERY FAST as the event gets closer. There is no 'day of' registration for this one folks - you have to preregister through the ROAV website.

Anybody from PA going to the ROAV summer event at Pearl's Pond? With my move down there I really have no way of taking my 1/4 ton Army trailer. If someone where going down and would be willing to tow it I would pay for your gas down. It is easy to pull and wouldn't even be noticed. Let me know if anyone could do this for me.

As of last night we have about 35-40 spots left. There will be no onsite registration, if you are not preregistered, you may not play.:patriot:

I have registered for this event a few weeks ago, however not going to be in the area during the event. Any way to get reimbursed?

I'll be there!

Still a few spots left - we'll be having a few training sessions and instructional rides also for anyone interested. Oh - and a BONFIRE!! (hopefully not a forest fire!)

Anybody from PA going that could give me a ride back to PA? I am moving to Scottsville, just 6 miles from Pearl's Pond 3 days after the event and if possible I'd like to drive my truck to the event, leave it at a local friends house and catch a ride home. Anyone?

You can contact me at galen_lentz at hotmail dot com.

Thanks,
Galen

Mike, will it be possible to stop in Sat to visit and not trail ride or whatnot. It'll be last minute for me, but I'd like to stop by if possible for a couple of hours.

Galen, my wife and I would be honored to care for the series, and drive it to Solomon's on July 4th for the anniversary of our first date. Sort of a homecoming for the truck and us.:D

That should not be problem at all as long as you are not running the trails, I believe that is the 'fine line' we don't want to cross :)
Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Thanks Mike, fine line understood. Don't know that I'll make it over at all, but just in case I come up with a couple of hours free, I'll pop in.
