Looking to get in touch with that dude kieth for the yota conversion. Looking to upgrade from the 10 spline shafts before I start breaking them. I'm on 33s at the moment and I want to wheel the disco the way it should be wheeled. But trailering it to rausch isn't really an option so the stronger the better. I can't get onto the roving tracks site for some reason. Is he still in business?

If you want Toyota axle just put the entire FJ80 axles under it. You can actually get parts if you break them. But on 33s upgraded 24 spline stuff is fine, even beating on it.

Ive beat the hell out of my stock axles on 33s at rc and knock on wood ive always made it out of the park under my own power. upgrading shafts on a d2 axle is setting you up for a 3rd member failure... pretty much your going to find your next weak link. the fj80 axles are the way to go. they should be geared close to what you want for 33s.

Ian hit the nail on the head. Ask Jake how having proprietary axles that are NLA is working out for him. Convert to FJ80 or HD 24 spline stuff and lockers.

My next question is GBR or Ashcroft? Any opinions/experience? I know this stuff has been beaten to death but some of that shit is Chinese to me.

You should buy this stuff:

Just so I can watch Chapman start another 200+ post thread.

And honestly, for the price, it's probably what I'll buy for the defender as soon as I fix and sell my LR3.

I've had these for a year now in the front of my D1 on 315/75 KM2's, 4.12 gears, and an Ashcroft locker. No problems, I'd buy them again.

And Dan doesn't start threads, he kills them.
