Anyone ever use Pro Line parts from Rovers North? The brake pad/rotor kit for a Disco 1 is a great price ($210 bucks plus shipping). I have some reservations but wanted to see if anyone had ever used them.

It's a crapshoot. Here's a lower radiator hose that they sent out. That takes a lot of nerve.

I'd order a set of brakes from Will Tillery or one of the other trusted vendors on here.

I ordered my brakes from Will a couple replacements back. Good price, fast shipping, I had no complaints about quality. Everything I've ever ordered from him has been great.

I recently ordered some Defender brake pads from Rovers North. They were very reasonably priced and I have been happy with the service and quality but they were not Pro Line (at least there was nothing on the packaging to suggest they were). The only Pro Line part I can recall buying from Rovers North was a thermostat and it's been fine.

Well Zak works there so enough said.

Agreed.

And the proline stuff for the most part will be the same/similar to what all the other vendors have for aftermarket parts. Mostly allmakes, occasionally, unfortunately, Britpart when nothing else is available at the price point.

You know, my kids ride in this vehicle, so the smart thing to do is spend a little more for a better quality product. No need to risk a failure at the worst time. Thanks fellows.

So can you buy replaceable sections for that to keep future costs down:rofl:

As long as the connecting intermediary tubes are the right size, I doubt it would leak. On some race vehicles, coolant temp sensor bungs are run in line with the radiator hose. Engines revving to 9k and no leaking what so ever.

That's the catch. Are they the right size? Also, regarding race vehicles, I'd suspect that they receive more maintenance per hour of operation than a helicopter. While it feels like my Disco receives one hour of maintenance for every hour "in the air", it isn't the case.

You've got to be kidding, what a piece of cobbled up piece of shit. Hope you sent it back.

It wasn't me. One of the guys on the EE board got that gem. The funny part is how RN emphasizes how they recommend Genuine hoses on their site and in the print catalog.

Much of what Allmakes sells--for my truck anyhow--is the exact same stuff as Genuine, minus the logo and bag.

For my truck, I use Genuine for all rubber parts and a mix of Allmakes and Genuine for everything else. I buy mine from Brian at Defenders Northwest.

Not sure what recommending genuine hoses has to do with someone buying a cheap part?

Not to be rude, but I would love to see any evidence of that besides the hearsay. We wouldn't send Proline in place of Genuine, ever, unless the customer requested/knew it.
