Every stinking time I jump to a conclusion, I'm wrong. Always, always return to the basics.
I once charged a guy 2-1/2 hours labor to diagnose a bad rotor. I had to follow the procedure. When I got to the Dealership, they pounded it into me that under no circumstances was a tech to deviate from the printed procedure. Of course, this was before I'd begun finding errors in the FSM and ETM.
