Rusted rear d1 cargo area

I'm looking for a semi rust free or aftermarket floor panel to replace the cargo area of my 94 disco that is completely rusted through. I have a feeling this is the last year she might "pass" inspection due to the rust in the rear. I can only find a replacement for the classic Range Rover not the discovery and I'd like to not have to fabricate myself. Anyone run into this problem and or find a solution?

My 89 RRC came with a very cool plastic replacement floor, don't know where the PO purchased it from (sorry).

My 95 DI is in very good shape but I'm not sure if I want to remove the floor yet.

I'd be glad to compare both floors to see if they are interchangeable (RRC and DI).

I know I could probably fabricate something with sheet metal but I'm not sure it would have the strength of the factory ribbed floor but it may end up being my only option, Thanks for your response

Craddocks is a good company. If you have not ordered from them before, you have to place your order then they contact you with shipping cost. You then approve it or cancel order.

I don't know if the RRC & D1 are inter changeable either but the early RRC floors are aluminum but no FP access hatch.

Call Randy at rover bones in Lancaster. He's got a bunch of D1's and he's only 45 minutes away from you. I'm sure he'd cut a floor out for you.

Except he's in PA so most of his trucks are probably just as rusty as the one he's trying to replace. I'd go with one of the souther guys if you're ok with shipping.

I called Randy yesterday morning he said he's going to look around and see if he has anything worthwhile but unfortunately here in PA everything gets pretty Gd rusty

I was hoping someone who sells all makes parts here would have the part. Its only 70 to 80 bucks in the UK but they want almost a hundred bucks to ship it

Urban Land Cruiser is the US distributor for YRM who makes good products. Some people have had not so good experiences with ULC though. If bought from them once & shipping took a long time for only two A post repair pieces.

As you'll see they are as expensive as Craddocks and it doesn't even include shipping.

My DI came from FL and I herculined it so it's in real good condition.

The 89 RR rear floor is made of plastic and it has a rubber piece at the end where it meets the tailgate. It also has a SS section that goes across the back to hole the carpet in. Looks pretty cool, I wonder who makes it.

Someone should buy a dozen of them for resale and get them in a container that that defender guy brings in a couple of times a year. I imagine they wouldn't take up too much space, and since you don't actually SEE them once they are installed, it wouldn't matter if they get a little dinged up on the way.
