Anyone else interested to see what Safari Gard has in the works for the Lr3. According to there website, the release date for bumpers, sliders etc. is mid Feb.

I'd like to see what they got. It's funny, though, $G and RTE are all coming out with the same shit about the same time.

I'm just interested to see some decent sliders, not much to choose from in the current market. I better start saving my pennies.

Let me edit that statement: Maybe there are some decent sliders out there, just not many to choose from.

I check everyday for the RTE site to be updated.

No shit! Maybe they're waiting on a stimulus plan from Obama.

I'm also keen on the bumpers, sent them an email today and we'll see what Safari guard come back with. So if there's any opportunities here count me in.

I was out on the trail with them 2 weeks ago and had a long discussion with them.

They said they were almost there but the LR3 they had to work with was needed by the owner and they had to wait for another that was coming in soon to continue.

From our discussions they seem to really have a good grasp on what the LR3 needed.

I look forward to seeing the results.

Safari Gard Rock Sliders are ready!!!

We hit the trail with the intent of total destruction of the test set, but
these Rock Sliders took their spanking and liked it.

Chad,

Bring that truck down and I'm sure we could fix you up with something you'll like.

Thanks Denny,

When its time for sliders I will bring it down to you. I need to get some decent tires on in the near future. I took it up to Caney a couple weeks back and had to winch it out of a couple holes. Those stock HPs are really worthless. But we already knew that.....

They look exactly like the stuff Dave at SlickRock was working on a few years ago. From what I can tell, they mount to the body only and 9pure conjecture here) involve separate skids for under the body to frame area.

The set I saw on the trail at Anza, the ones in the photo, were only mounted to the body.

They did not cover the area between the body and frame.

The more I look at these, the more I hate them. I hate them more than the Rover Specialties sliders.

So they wouldn't protect the air tank I have mounted on the passenger side or the arb compressor I have for on board air....that's the main thing I do like about the RS version.

I just wish I hadn't got the big ole outboard tube/bar version.
