Yes and no

If the can was permanently attached YES, but since it is a screw on, I stamped it just to avoid any issues at it is debatable that the can can be removed.

I am getting an Israelian RONI SD for the Glock ( as my friend refuses to allow me to get the Corner Shot without strings attached *LOL* ) and that too will be Stamped.

In OH I see them all they long "no stamp" but then again , you can buy a MAC 11 at a gun show, here, you can't own one unless is a SMG and stamped, but no no on a semi ( go figure )

They are fun indeed, but to avoid thumb sore you get a 12.00 speed-loader *W*

my next project on 10-22 is to make a suppressed Gatlin, that it is going to R&R

Prior to May, there was a company in Fort Wayne that made BMGs in .22 LR. Lotsa fun!

They also made dual 10/22 gatlings.

Someday, I'll have a semi MAC-11.

I think I've grown out of wanting choppers.

Not hard, I've bought mine at Gun Show in OH for 400.00 ( ended up replacing the upper for another 350.00 complete - me being anal ) , so I am sure same deals would be around you. Since they are a NO NO in MD , stays up there.

Unless you mount a Glock into a Corner Shot , ain't no Glock Carbine :thehand:

I shot the 522, and honestly for 5 Benjamines I rather customize a Ruger 10/22.

And it is not the same as the 5.56 Sig ( as they tend to mislead ).

Rent one before you buy

Welllll.....

There kind of is a Glock carbine.

I've thought about getting one of these for kicks. I don't see much point to it beyond ammunition compatibility. It's a neat trick for an off the shelf product, though, and for a lightweight job, if it works worth a damn, it's not a bad idea. I've never even seen one in person, though. I'm really thinking about buying one just to see if it seems useful at all.

As for the Sig, I can dig the 556. It's actually something relatively new in an arena that's getting repetitive. I've never seen a 522 though.

Cheers,

I agree, if you look at post 21, I am thinking of a RONI for my G19 ( will indeed make it a carbine as well )

The mechTech is nice looking but I don't think it has value added for the cost ( base + acc ) and not providing the Threaded barrel.

But good looking nonetheless

I'm not sure what the deal is with that Roni. The slide looks like it's still installed, and the barrel is quite short. Is it just the stock and frame you are after with that, or am I not tracking somewhere? How does it work?

To buy the RONI you have to do it via Stamp.

Now the MechTech is trouble

My days of wanting to open myself up to that level of scrutiny are long gone. Our FFL expired almost 20 years ago. At least I know longer live in the house that was tied to it!

I was however looking at bend-your-own MACs the other day. Surprisingly, it's cheaper to buy one complete than try to build it as I don't want it rock and roll.

I can't stand Macs. They are clunky, heavy, large, and ergonomically horrible. The semi versions are about the most pointless things in the world. They don't do a thing that a Glock with a hi-cap mag won't do.

The auto versions are stupid as well, to me. I'd just as soon spring for a Skorpion, a legal Tec-9, or essentially any machine pistol that's not a Mac.

I've got one over here, but only because it's a low serial number. If that wasn't the case, I'd toss the damnable thing. It may be tough, but it's fucking useless. The fact that this one has a holster is even more laughable. By the time you stick the suppressor on it you may as well grab a carbine. Hell, the carbine would be much lighter.

I'll take my Tec-9 any day of the week, and I'm not entirely sure what the point of that is, either. I just bought it because I like '80s bad guys. The image of some guy in a suit and aviators firing from the hip, using the mag as a forward grip, and pumping lead at everything on God's green earth except the hero is just too much fun.

Cheers,

Kennith

Sorry to deviate from the NFA talk, but I thought I'd mention something.

I was all set to put together a 10-22 and ended bringing home a 15-22. For the price, I would not have been able to do much to a 10-22. I'm very pleased with it. I have nearly two bricks through it now without a single FTF or FTE.

It is a plastic gun, but I can live with that. I have absolutely no complaints so far.

BTW, I've never heard of a Marlin 10-22 action, what's that all about?
