buy some Volkl's and be done with it! Ski's are a great investment in my opinion, it allows you to get out so much more without having to worry about spending the money on rentals, you can get packages for under 300$ and they'll last you a while.

jwest said:Split is cool for some applications but they do not "ski" anywhere as well as skiis and are slow as well. The fastest overall set up is AT or tele for rolling terrain and/or verying decent types after long climbs, the skiis are lighter than splits too.
