Hello there:

Quick question, I have a '01 DII ACE, SLS with 56K miles, at home my truck is parked on a 30 degree angle and today I noticed that the rear right side was very low almost touching the tire. the left side was a bit low but not as much as the right side, maybe it looked lower because the other side was down. Since I bought the truck two years ago never had any problems with the SLS system. I remember somewhere in this forum that cold temperature affect the SLS bags. Anyway, is this a sign of a upcoming SLS problem? I turned the truck on and the level when back to normal, since yesterday the temperature in New York has been below 25. Thanks god for extended warranty

as always your input is very much appreciated.

It sounds like a problem...mine survived many nights below zero with no effects in Colorado. Now at 67K miles, SLS is one of the few systems on my D2 that hasn't been trouble....yet. Do a search for "SLS conversion" and the like, you'll find plenty of owners that have swapped the SLS for coils. I am seriously considering the conversion too.
Good Luck.

Get it fixed sooner rather than later. When the system leaks, the compressor runs more to fill it up. The cold doesn't "make them leak", but the cold will shrink the rubber enough to open the dry rot that wouldn't normally leak if it were warmer.

I drove the truck today and stays level at least for the time that I went around town doing a couple things. I did noticed under the driver floor that the compressor is running a lot more. Definetely a phone call to the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks all for your replies
