Small issue with injector installation

I recently swapped my stock fuel injectors for the Ford fuel injectors (M-9593-C302). I noticed that the injector clips no longer work, because the "female" connector part of the new fuel injectors rise up at a slightly sharper angle. Basically, the clips interfere with the connectors. No matter how I position them, I can't snap the connector onto the injector. (I know, it sounds like Dr. Suess.)

I ended up leaving the fuel injector clips off...does anyone see any major problem with this? As far as I can tell, the fuel rail is secured down on top of the injectors, holding them in pretty tight. I can't see how the injectors would be able to work themselves free, but I thought I would see if anyone could see a problem with this.

Edit: This was for my P38, by the way.

Thanks,
Scott

Thanks PT. I actually tried rotating them as well. It worked a little better, but still wouldn't seat correctly, and I knew I would loose a couple. That's when I decided just to pull them off entirely.
