Snap on Modis Scanner

Selling my 2 year old Snapon Modis Scanner. I have no use for it anymore Since all I work on is heavy truck and my shop gave me a laptop for that and it does everything. I am selling cause basicly I dont use it and paying for something that sits.

It has 8.2 software in it 9.2 is the current software upgrade and can be done if desired for extra.

Scaner comes with all Keys , cables and Cd's and books.

Scans Domestic and import vehical from 1980 up to 2007.

I am askin 2600 plus shipping without upgrading the software.

I can upgrade the software for a extra 1200 dollars and it will be registered to you via my Snapon dealer. So the total would be 3800 plus shipping

If you were to buy this Scaner New today with the current up grade and the Drive ablity software and 5 gas analyzer it would cost over 8,000 dollars

What rover coverage does it offer?

It has the global ODB 2 key so anything ODB2 it will scan . I scaned my neighbors 04 disco with it . anything ODB 1 you need a cable with snapon dont sell .

Its in great shape low use I am selling it just cause my employer bought me a laptop which will work on anything from a ford focus to a Mack truck so mine sits

2600 is what I own to pay it off. As mentioned I can have it upgraded and and registerd to yo through my snapon dealer for the price of the upgrade which is 1200 dollars .

No Factory warranty remains on its 2 years old

i think it looks like from the ad that this land rover key should work with this scanner although you will have to purchase the european kit as well to get the cables.
but finally we have some coverage from a snap-on tool. too bad my dealer quit about a month ago.

Looks like it only does 2000-newer.

The longer I'm in this business, the more I find I need more computer stuff as back-up. It seems like one or the other is always down and that adds stress I don't need.

Still Available? You mentioned import, does it have the 20 pin round BMW interface or is it not equipped with any european software?

No just has OBD2 and A few OBD 1 Cables.

I had scanned a few Euro cars but they were OBD 2 and Use the # 20 key which is global OBD 2

I am still askin 2600 it needs a update which is 1200 so if you buy it and upgrade it which cost 1200 you can have a 8 k scanner or less than half the price
