If Monday happens to be day 31, then back up now and contact paypal today. They will literally drop it like a stone after 30 days.

You can open a dispute with paypal at any point, and then choose to get the engine shipped, or ask for a refund. You don't have to settle before 30 days, just open the dispute.
Who was the seller? So we can avoid them.
