...... re-elect the best president we've had in what feels like forever. ;)

What? No love for Clinton? Seems strange coming from such an ideologue. At least he did wise up fiscally after the midterm elections in his first term.

Me thinks knewsom wasn't born yet during the Clinton years...

Oh, I was around alright. ...I remember his triumphant election, I remember Bush Sr, I remember protesting the FIRST Iraq war, I even remember Reagan and the Star Wars program, the cold war, and all the tension over it.

...granted, I have no memory of Carter, Ford, or Nixon - I'm 29, but I am also a big fan of history, and I know ours fairly well.

I could go into the advantages and disadvantages of relative youth, but ultimately that would be irrelevant to the conversation, the ultimate point of which is that I think President Obama will prove to be one of the greatest presidents in our history. ...yes, better than Clinton. The way he's engaging the people of the world and inspiring change is really quite profound. I'm proud to call him our President, and I feel prouder than ever to be an American.

Ahh youthful exuberance. Wait until you've put up with the bullshit in Washington DC for a few decades, then you'll be a crabby, suspicious old bastard, too.

It's been a long-term goal of mine to someday be a crotchety old man. ;)

well, I don't remember FEELING the tension, but I remember other people feeling it. Mainly (RE SDI) I remember President Reagan proposing making Star Wars real, and I wondered if Light Sabers were part of it.

And yeah, I protested the Gulf War at 10.

More accurately, your mom protested the Gulf War, and couldn't find a babysitter.
The way he's engaging the people of the world and inspiring change is really quite profound.
I can't fucking stand this kind of corporate bullshit speak.
"engaging people"
"inspiring change"
jesus fucking christ.

Where are the best practices to engage the stakeholders to achieve buy-in, while eliminating cross-functional silos?
Is this where the low-hanging fruit intersects with the rubber hitting the road?
Will he quarterback our goals-driven solution, facilitating increased uptake and utilization?

If you look back at his posts on political subjects earlier, these are not a bit different.
I bet knewsom classifies himself as a "young and independent thinker." That's from the same dictionary as "inspiring change..."

LOL on corporate bullshit speak. The one I really hate is when I give someone an estimate for a move and they ask me what the "process" is. I feel like telling them it's called we pack your shit, load your shit, drive your shit to your new house, unload your shit, unpack your shit....then you can sit in your new house with your old shit.

...because apathy, conservative voting, and grumpy old men have done SO MUCH for this country...

...like getting us into the messes we're in. Poke fun all you want, but this world is a-changin', with or without you, and it's a bout fucking time.

and re: corporate BS speak, I agree, I hate it as much as you, but "engaging people" and "inspiring change" have little to do with "de-prioritizing my current action items until you advise a status upgrade". Corporations are about selling shit and maintaining the status quo. I'm sorry, but that is NOT what this administration is about, and it sure as shit isn't what I'm about.

protesting a war ≠ dissing our troops. To my mind, protesting immoral wars helps keep politicians honest, which helps ensure that their service and sacrifice is not in vain.

Many close friends and family are soldiers. I honor your service and your sacrifice. ...I just wish they were used with greater caution and foresight by our leadership.
