Anyway of resetting the SRS light w/o the Rovacom/clones? The shops here want $80.00 plus just to reset.

No. The most common reason for the light to be lit, that I've seen is low battery voltage. Sadly, many SRS ECUs are not communicative. I find about 50% don't wanna play nice.

You know, my battery has died several times due to truck just sitting and not being driven, disconnected battery before, changed batteries, etc. This is the first time ever the SRS light has come on due to this, but I have never left my lights on before causing the battery to drain. Could it be the fact that the ign switch was also left in the on position while the headlights were draining the battery?

SRS ecu sensed the drop in voltage while everything else was powered, even thou the whole car is loosing power the srs ecu goes into "emergency mode" it thinks you have crashed and killed the battery so it thiks it will use its internal reserve to deploy.
no it will not deploy (or in dangerof deploying) other parameters need to be met for that to occur, it is a goverment mandated failsafe mode.
clear the code an go on your merry way.
(ps) the code will be something like "low circuit"

The error codes I've seen have been "Low system voltage during cranking".

Last week, I had a truck come to me that had several codes, including open circuit in the rotary coupler and low voltage during cranking. The owner replaced the rotary coupler himself and during the self-diagnostics, the SRS light self-extinguished!

He got lucky, but had another more serious fault to be corrected.

Well, Since I don't think anything is really wrong with the SRS, I'll drive for a while and just see if during one of it's "self test" cycles, it resets itself.

Thanks for all the replies.

Did it reset itself?

I swapped airbag ecus to turn off the light after a broken cassette. A month later left it on and killed the battery, light is now on again
