Probably in Mexico already.:banghead:

If you could afford the fuel to get it there!

It was down to 1/3 tank...so thats good for 40 miles, it will probably be abandoned in a week or so after they realize that 9mpg only gets you to camp Pendleton before refueling.

Well I had a car stolen out of the driveway. Inurance wouldn't pay off for 30 days. On the 30th day we get a call from the police dept., they found it, it was only like 2 miles away from the house, on empty, clutch burned out, rear carpet torn out, strawberry milkshake all over the passenger seat. Insurance paid for all the repairs and we got it back. Unfortuneately it was an AMC Spriit, I was actually hoping they woudn't find it..lol.

This prompts me to consider getting one of those hidden GPS things put on mine, then if it gets stolen I can find where it is, visit the offending party with a 12 guage and get my Disco back.

If this one comes back, thats a no brainer, and ...well lets hope this one comes back.

They can't do any more damage...milkshakes are nothing!!

Sorry to hear about this... keep an eye out for parts... its not like a honda... its pretty damn identifiable... although likely punks taking it for a joy ride... I can't imagine going through the trouble of attempting to steal/sell it cause there is better cars to make $ off of or the time to strip it and trying to unload very unique items...

Grand theft... another reason I favor the death penalty for more than just first degree murder... over 18, steal a car, you give up your life... we'd see a large drop in car thefts... society doesn't need people that steal the hardwork and pride of others.

The tow rig I was using was stolen in August. My sister (who owned it) had loaned it to the folks who run the stable where her horse is boarded. The SOBs left the keys in it and left town for three days. Their kid threw a bash and the next day, the truck was gone.

The Sheriff said it was probably in Mexico already-it was a late 80s one ton GMC pick-up. Pulled my Disco on the trailer like it wasn't even there.

Good luck, I hope you do better getting it back than we have had so far.

It wasn't long ago a person would;

hang for steeling someone's horse
get shot for burning the american flag
get their behinds slapped with a paddle for mis behaving
actually get put to death when found guilty and issued the death penalty
actually had to speak english to be an american
