Just need a Rhorkee Campaign chair (sp?) to sit at while my dinner's simmering. :D

Roorkee. Named after the Indian Army Corps of Engineers' headquarters. My girlfriend has one her parents brought back from a trip to Pakistan about 20 years ago, which I covet like crazy. Disassembles down to nothing, and is super comfotable. Land Rover sold reproductions recently, at least in the UK. Just hard to justify spending $700 on a piece of camping furniture....

I briefly owned one of those Kermit chairs. It's a beautiful design, very well made, and with a cool heritage. I returned mine though, because of the chairs narrowness and lowness. (I'm on the wide side, so that might not apply to most.) But the chair is really low to the ground (seat height is 11.5"). I prefer a chair closer to table height, which also makes getting in and out less clumsy. I bought mine with their aluminum leg extensions, which address the height issue, but make the chair totally wobbley in the process.

That said, I'd still recommend the Kermit chair ... if you can handle all those caveats.

Oh, those Kermits are made here in Tennessee....

They were originally designed for motorcycle camping, which is why they were so short. Those leg extensions, though, should help: I'd been told that they didn't hurt the stability.... but, I've never tried, so..... take it FWIW.....

I didn't know that EE had started carrying them. Interesting......

For those wondering, the PhillyRovers Kitchen at MAR used two CampChef stoves, a 3 burner and a 2 burner. Multiburner Campchefs are great for feeding large groups of people like the 40-50 people we fed, but totally inpractical for a small group of 2-3 people.

Any Coleman that fits your space needs - while rarely needing service Coleman products have a better service network than most others brand - work at reasonable prices unlike LR.
