Hey all, I've been searching, but not finding much on this, help me out...
Ok, the other day I had been driving a bit, nothing more than usual, and I would say it was hot out, but not terrible.
So I'm wating in the parking lot for a friend to show, and I had the truck idoling in the lot and I would occasionally drive around and see if I was really in the right spot (yah, I was lost)
Here's the symptom... After idoling for a few minutes, I would put the car back in D and the transmission would barely engage. The car would move forward a bit, with almost no power, and then die. Restarting the truck seemed to reset everything and it would act normally until after idoling and I would get the same result.
This happened 3 times last weekend and hasn't happened since.
How worried should I be about this? Any idea where to start diagnosing whatever this is? Transmissions are a bit foreign to me.
