What’s the story with this vehicle on AutoTrader? It looks like a factory supercharger setup, but I’ve never seen anything quite like it…
Interesting. Does this suggest you are not particularly optimistic on the new wave of LS upgrades installed in front of Rover transmissions?I just ditched a transmission that was in an 88 Classic with a Cameron Concepts-supercharged 4.6. In the retrospect, I have known the history and should not have used this box.
That's to say the supercharger works all right. What's behind the motor - probably not.
All LS upgrades I've seen used either 4L60E or 4L80E or 6L80E. 4HP22? You need to put a brick under that gas pedal.Interesting. Does this suggest you are not particularly optimistic on the new wave of LS upgrades installed in front of Rover transmissions?
I don’t know why anyone would go through all that work and leave it a 4 speed transmission. I use a 6L80 or AX15 if the customer wants a manual. We’re redoing an LS swap another shop did with the NV4500. That shifts like crap in my opinion. All LS upgrades I've seen used either 4L60E or 4L80E or 6L80E. 4HP22? It is pretty strong, may people use it behind all sorts of V8s in jeeps.ax15 like a 90s jeep? doesnt seem up to the task
My understanding is the ax15 is fine with a stock LS3. They do tell you not to upgrade the cam With that transmission.ax15 like a 90s jeep? doesnt seem up to the task
my experience was a worn out 258 can kill it, so call me a skepticMy understanding is the ax15 is fine with a stock LS3. They do tell you not to upgrade the cam With that transmission.
