I just heard from somebody in the know, that Warn will be or already has discontinued the Tabor line. All that's left is what's on the shelves right now.

Just thought to let y'all know since some here like them because of they're good value.

Was surprised they even went into production with them at all.
I'm not. For many it's part of the image, having a winch. I've lost count of the winches I've seen on the front of vehicles that obviously have never been used. Sorta like the huge tires, lift kits and lights on rigs that are never taken off-road. There's always a market for bling.

I heard through the grape vine that you paid for that winch with food stamps. Sad to see people like yourself have to resort to such means.
Your parents must be very disappointed, not to mention your wife.

Here in Middleburg they hand out Warn 12Ks like candy.

It's funny that Warn pulls out of the "entry level" winch market just as it starts to get interesting. Smittybilt has their 8000# ($299) and now the 10,000# ($499) winches. Superwinch just released a 8500# for $399.

I was very tempted to purchase the Superwinch yesterday. I have a gift card for the local "Man Mall" (Fleet Farm to the midwestern folks). It would only cost me about $100 out of pocket for a winch.

But I'll probably hold out a little longer. The Warn M8000 is down to $519 (including shipping) from Winchdept.com
