Anybody one the forum ever use any of their products? I really like their D1 rear bumper with the swing away tire carrier option. My main concerns are strength. With them being a newer(ish) company they don't have the reputation of RTE or HLC. Also, anyone that has one-how has the powdercoating held up? Would it be better to have it shipped raw and then I just paint it? I live in Salt Lake City so we get a lot of road salt and rust is one of my worst peeves. I am leaning towards the Tactical Rovers bumper but I also like RTE and HLC. Is there any reason I should steer clear of Tactical Rovers (besides the "tactical" name)?

a lot of guys on the west coast have bought from them and are happy with them.

Personally if I was to be in the market I'd buy from Denny at HLC. I just placed an oder with him for a rear bumper that should be here soon and the guys customer service is great.

I really like Denny's work and have heard he is great to work with. The only pictures of his rear bumper I have seen on a D1 is the winch option one. I would like to see one that doesn't have that as I would assume it would be a bit slimmer.

I will post one up of mine - it should be here first week of June or so..

Their powder coating sucks, I had to touch up my bumper after a light trail run

not a fan of the rear bumper, cutting the bottom of the quarter panel messes with the disco ch'i

I look forward to it Jake. Good to know on the powder coating, might just decide to paint it myself. fishEH, I know they have a great product but I am not a huge fan of the tube look. Most of the rear bumpers require cutting of the quarter panel and I am fine with that as I have rubbed my tires on the quarter panel enough to the point where it has split part of it, so I am looking forward to cutting :)

That looks pretty close to ass over tea kettle. I'm definitly doing an internal cage on my next serious rig.

I was kidding, no powder coating will last on an off road bumper when wheeled.

Yea I got stuck in a position where I almost flopped similar to that.. I'd love to have a cage in my white truck but then I'd be fearless..

I'm looking forward to it as well! Part of the reason I think the tire carrier is better on Dennys bumper than all others is you dont have to deal with the stupid latches. I also liked how the tire is mounted, hi lift jack mount, and the fact that it's attached to a quality bumper.. It's better than the RTE bumper and carrier and hundreds of dollars less..

Then you definitely wouldn't like cutting off the stock hitch and frame horns. ;)
Looks like you needed a new track rod there.

While I don't own their products (Tactical), I can tell you these guys are 100% top notch guys. They attended the Arizona Rally a couple weeks ago and I led them on a trail..

They donated several items to the raffle, and since I personally transported them I can testify to the build quality. Beautiful stuff.

I know they stand behind their stuff, but I can't personally vouch for the trail durability...

good luck..
