I usually say if f you are going to go 3 you might as well go 5. You are a little different with a 2 inch lift you don't need brake extensions, a 3 you do. You already have driveshafts so that's good and your shocks have the height to run 3's so since you have them already do it to it.

Should have mentioned I already have the longer SS brake lines installed. I think I'll order the front springs today.

Do it.....I wanna hear about the change....

I am considering this too. But need more input coming from using spacers.....
One of the benefits for me will be with the front shocks. I run Rancho 999028 at all four corners with D2 front shock towers. After the shock eye adapter there isn't a lot of compression left on the front shocks. Putting in a spacers under the perch wouldn't change this for me. However, installing a 3" spring would lower the bottom front shock mount. I know I know, I haven't raised the upper mount so the shock will still bottom out at the same spot. However, a taller spring it will give me more of a safety zone. The at rest length of the front shocks will be longer so there will be more uptravel before full compression. I still need to fine tune my bumpstops. I need to add longer spacers to them or just order newer even longer bumpstops all together.

You know you are going to make the move, if for no other reason but to avoid finishing headliner project.:D

Seriously, It sounds like you are 75% of the way there and no one seems to be taking the position against it because of poor handling.

Speaking of shocks, that Russ guy who can't air up his own tire. Had a blown set of fox's that he was thinking of selling to me, if you see him again could you get his #.

Cones suck, but they look cool on the ramp.

Ohhhh, Ross. Yeah I'll ask him. IDK, the cones made a HUGE difference at the Badlands last month.

Oh, and I just pulled the trigger on the 3" springs. :D

"if you are going 3" might as well go 5"

My classic had 2, 3 then 5" of lift. For the wheeling I did the shift from 3-5 was not worth the expense and all the added effort for what I gained. I would have left it at three if I had it to do over. There were times when the truck was leaning that the 5 made it sketchy. I think 3" is pretty good if you sort all the other stuff.
