please tell me why I should buy it

Because your current Land Rover runs flawlessly and will never need any more work done on it.

Because you find yourself sitting around on the weekends wondering what the hell to do with all your free time.

Because you have a suitcase of cash buried in your backyard.

Because you don't care if it takes you a long time to go anywhere.

There is nothing rational about buying a Rover. Any model. This is a decision you make with your heart. If it gets you excited and will make you happy (when it's not driving you crazy) then you should buy it.

You'd be better off shoving 4 $1000 bills in your asshole.

At least then when you realize the mistake you made you can just take a shit and get your money back.

Don't get it because it's rotted out and he tried covering it up with a rattle can of white paint (at least that's what it looks like to me)

It has a couple of issues....but in general not too bad shape. The bulkhead is solid, frame seems to be ok but needs attention, mid door bottoms have seen better days, and the motor needs some TLC. All in all not a bad deal....but wouldn't bid over $5k.....just my opinion.
For a rolling project...great find but again it comes back to $s.
Oh...and yes..the PO has gotten a little happy with white paint.

damn, I fly in to town today and was considering going to check it out. if the motor needs that much work I dont want to mess with it. I want a runner that I dont need to immediately put a ton of work in to. would be fun in the summer here for those 3-5 mile runs to pool/grocery/etc.

Go check it out. If I didn't have my 110 in 500 pieces all over the garage I would consider it. I got my 110 as a "rolling project" truck just over a year ago and have been able to make "adjustments" as needed or as time would allow. Its turning out to be a very nice looking/running truck. It might never be perfect...but thats what mall queens are for.

LOL. I love DiscoWeb. What other Land Rover forum could you get a response like this, and no one bats an eye.
