Townley did a lot of really nice conversions - I visited their facility in a suburb of London a couple of times in the late 1970's and saw a few of the vehicles they were working on. They did top-notch work for a very exclusive clientle including the royal families for a number of middle eastern countries. They also built six wheel drive Land Rovers and other cool stuff. Neat truck!

That thing looks like a hearse.

...And what is it with limousines that causes even good coach-builders to do a shit job on interior trim? It looks like Darth Vader's fishing boat in there.

You'd think it was simply because it's a car from another era, but people still do that.

Of course, stretched limousines are becoming a bit scarce nowadays. We've got a number of longer wheelbase cars from which to choose today that feature very nice amenities, with factory trim.

Cheers,

Kennith

Marty, you could also get a spare wheel cover for the back that says "Hummer limo recovery limo".

I sincerely hope at some point in my life I find a reason to describe something as Darth Vader's fishing boat...classic!
