Sorry I had to bail at the last minute, but with the stress of the up coming election, the fate of my eternal soul if I don't vote republican, my recurring fantasies featuring Sarah Palin and the financial melt down coming soon I've taken to running a mobil meth lab in the GWNF. If you see me stop and say hi but, watch out for my trash. It's deadly!

Well wanted to say Thanks for the Invite as well.
Our group thought it was one of the best ever.
What a place it was great all the trails with all the challenges you would ever want and nice hot showers.

Damage report was a little rough but who could resist
1 RRC auto trans or trans case
1 RRC front axle
1 LR3 rear qtr. dent
1 new winch which was beat to h-ll

Thanks Again
We need to go again hows next week look ?

Well, I bet she checks her fluids from now on....

It has to be the trans and not the t-case. That was not a results of the trails, though. With no fluid in that thing, it was on borrowed time.

But you broke a CV? Where?

Im not sure which side cv or axle made it home. Thank god for diff lock.
Yeah I was a little surprised on the trans fluid myself . The bad part is all the damage we took was rescuing that well RRC neglected from hell.
We drug out that truck with a 2 wheel drive Zebra and a winch along with the LR3. A rescue I will never forget.

But Damn that was fun !!!!!!!

Imagine doing that recovery with NVGs at night, no lights and a rolled truck. We do that with the training we do there just 100 feet from where the RRC was. It's taken 4-6 hours easy.

That section caused the most damage. Tayloe's series at the start, my disco and the RRC's at the end. I now will not travel without a spare complete diff. I don't want to have to do all that again. although i'm close to being able to do it with my eyes closed since i've taken it apart and put back together 4 times in the last 3 days. I had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

I can only imagine
My ass was drained mentally whats left and physical as well no comment. My only thoughts were on a stiff crown and coke and a hot shower after that mission. Which I accomplished that as well to the fullest.

I am sad I missed it..... next year!!

Probably just as well, my truck was far from being ready and i would have had to stay on the baby trails. LOL.

That would have been fine though, good times would have been had no matter.

What with not going and then DWeb being down I did get a lot of work done on the house with the wifey, around the boat shop, my other job AND the D2 build-up. It was a great week really.

So next year maybe i will be able to rattle around and belch diesel smoke on The Cove's trails. :D

Looks like fun. I would have gone, but this was the first I have been able to hunt on opening day in years.

Dan, when is the "spring rally"?

We need to plan a date to go to GWNF, preferably a Sunday. I still haven't really tested out my TrueTrac.

You can Bowhunt for the next three months, you can only go to The Cove Event one weekend.

So did you get one?

I'm going up there camping in the next couple of weeks with my son if you want to come out.
