Didn't Garrett warn everyone to stay out of that mudhole? I can't imagine how freaked I'd be to get that much mud inside my Series. Mine is just to cherry for that.

Yeh I drafted up a page or two of trail descriptions, since I got to The Cove a few days late.

Tayloe missed the memo, but found the 4 foot mud hole. JB found gravity too!

Who are those hippies in the above pics? Freaks.

I think we can make this happen again in the Spring.

This time we will make sure we don't leave anyone out that should be there. Maybe a formal invite to Steve Young as well.

ROAV missed the boat, but the rest of us don't have to.

It was pretty dark; so, I had little idea of what I was taking pictures of. It was pure luck that I caught that. She wanted me to video you dancing; but, I had no light. Were you a Deadhead once?

I've been to a few shows and might know all the words but I've always had a job and washed myself so I was never a real deadhead. :victory:

We started Saturday morning with a hike. I'm guessing this is the Tuscarora Trail that runs by the campground.

There were more Jeeps on the trails than at MAR. This was on U Turn Easy which they said was harder in comparison to U Turn Hard. Kavic assisted with their recovery.

I'm mad I missed this, but a death in my family put a hold on my Range Rover build. I should definitely make it there with the RRC in the spring!

QFT. I swear, I was left for dead, but they dragged me out. Between you and John White and Allen and the dude doing "THe Worm" (Hunter?), I've never laughed so hard for so long. Like doing crunches for 2 hours straight. Can you actually do The Worm to Jam-Band-Dead-Covers?

I finally realized what that band was doing: they would start out playing a Dead tune, run a few bars, then morph it into some hybrid composition which is probably something they wrote. Compelling. :banghead:

Those guys were with one of the NOVA Jeep clubs. They were doing "Trail Maintenance". Willis told me they would be there when I checked into the camp ground. I never saw them the entire weekend, except back at their camp....

You would think that if they were doing trail maintenance they would have had a saw with them. One of the Jeeps got stuck on a log in the bypass. I gave them a saw so they could get it out. It sounded like they had been there awhile and they wanted us to turn around and and take "U-turn Hard". They said we wouldn't get up the obstacle in a Rover anyway. After getting that one out a second Jeep got hung up on a rock and pinned against a tree so we helped them there too.

After a couple of attempts, a couple of rocks, and a little more skinny pedal than I normally use, I was up.

And with Ivan pointing the laser pointer at the lead guitarist who said, in mid bar, "I see that shit. Don't shoot me!" their music just got worse. Shakedown street was the best attempt...the next band was just plain horrible.

Only thing I regret was not drinking another beer after we got down there...I was sober and COLD! (and look terrible in those pics!)

But the laughter helped keep me warm. Hunter's "Worm" was awesome and Rob's dancing jig impressive. Oh and John TOLD me to give him the finger for a picture!

Well, I did happen to take a dump off the side of that log in your camp Thursday morning about 10am. It was steamy.
