GOJO hand cleaner. still a privately held US company http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gojo_Industries Still my favorite hand/hair/clothes etc. cleaner.
and the obligatory nod to Snap-On, while there are some things I don't like about them more and more, the basics of the "brand" are still going strong and earn them their place on this list
3M how many items from household to industrial do we use that we never even realize are possible only because of 3M

I completely forgot about Stihl, I would put that one on my list too. When I worked for a tree company, we only had one Stihl saw that didn't last, and it was a 044 or 046 that someone left sitting in the feed for the chipper.

Herman Miller big time! One of the few furniture manufacturers hell bent for great design! (That and they recognized the genius in Charles an Ray Eames!)

I've always liked Global Office.

Global chairs have been keeping Presidents off the floor since the Clinton administration. That's what you'll find behind the Resolute Desk from here on out; a Global Office chair.

That's why I'm sure to keep one around...

Trijicon ACOG's....

Not the best glass ever made, cannot go from 1x-20x with inherent ballistic compensation, laser designation, and a myriad of other things that folks over on ARF don't even understand much less achieve effectiveness from in buying more expensive scopes.

ACOG's just work. They do so while still providing a better optic than most people are capable of shooting within the threshold of.

Caveat/Rant:
*I hate seeing people buy a rifle and then refusing to spend the $ on a decent optic, it's like buying a Rover to take offroad and keeping shit tires under it. Likewise I have to laugh at folks breaking out multi-thousand dollar scopes for safe queen rifles that they are barely proficient with in the most basic application.

The range that I used to go to was mainly old fart bench rest shooters and the weekend warrior AR guys. One day a 40 something guy shows up with his beautiful custom bench rest rifle with the Stolle action and painted gloss stock. He gets out his big 'ole tool box and brings out his dies and mini press and is trying to dial in his rifle and hand loads. Since I sat right next to the guy, I was checking on his groups all day. I think the best group he ever shot was about a 2" group at 100 yds.

My plain jane Remington 700 was shooting 1" & less with Federal match 308. The guy looked disgusted all damn day. It was funny.

I was out at a local range. There was they same type there. The range had a bell at 200 yards and this dude couldn't hit it. A redneck type dude pulls up in a red 1960's Ford pickup. Get out with his gun case and a box of ammo. Goes over to a bench and pulls out an old Savage 99 with a peep sight. He puts 3 rounds in it and standing, hits the 200 yard bell 3 for 3. The bench rest dude looked like he wanted to puke. Me and my dad laughed all the way home.

That's just it. Just like Lucky 8, you have to know what to buy. You could buy crap, or you could buy the good shit. But you have to educate yourself beforehand.

...Or you could just make your preferences apparent; or god forbid you let him walk you through your options. I get precisely what I expect every time I place an order.

1: Call Lucky 8
2: Ask for bushing
3: Best bushing available arrives at door.
4: The end.

Damn, Dan. Just ask Justin out on a date and put an end to your guesswork. The worst he'll say is no, and your nights of ice cream and soap operas will be over. You'll finally be able to take that axe off the grinder.

Cheers,

Kennith
