yeah, they "borrowed" the waking up after being in the hospital plot from "28 days Later", but its better than the "Little couple"

would have liked to have seen this, too busy on Halloween . I did catch some episodes of Dead Set on IFC, British zombie series with the isolated participants of a Big Brother type reality show surviving a zombie outbreak, anyone seen it?

Correction TV series was called Dead Set

Have not seen it but it sounds as good as the American Top Gear...

The TV mini series is called Dead Set. (not Dead Zone)

Definitely sounds a lot better than American Top Gear

Simon Pegg writer and star of Shaun of the Dead gave the series a favorable review, it was nominated for a BAFTA and was screened as five episodes back to back 2.5hrs in 2009 with impressive UK viewing figures.

For the Zombie film fans.
Dead Set contains several allusions to other zombie films, most notably George A. Romero's "Living Dead" series. Marky taunts Grayson by calling him 'Barbara', one of the central characters in Night of the Living Dead (1968). When Kelly takes refuge in the Big Brother house and informs the contestants of the zombie infestation, Marky directly quotes the line "They're coming to get you, Barbara!" that opened Romero's film. Later, as Marky and Veronica are clearing zombies from the compound, Joplin remarks that they keep converging on the house because of "some primitive instinct [...] This was like a church for them," paraphrasing a line from Dawn of the Dead (1978).
Patrick's fate at the hands of the undead is an homage to the death of Captain Rhodes at the end of Day of the Dead (1985), even down to his last words. As Rhodes is torn in half he commands the zombies eating his intestinal tract to "Choke on 'em!"; in Dead Set, Patrick's mortal words are "I've got fucking bowels full of shit - eat it!" In the first episode, Patrick says that Angel has a face "like a Manchester Morgue", a reference to Jorge Grau's The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (1974). A previous Big Brother quote was also referenced. While in Celebrity Big Brother 2006 Pete Burns said, "I've had insults thrown over me like a bucket of cum." Dead Set character Patrick used a similar line.

Watched it this evening (DVR'd).

Fairly intense episode. I thought it was pretty good. Will continue to record it.

Watched it last night, pretty decent. I only have a couple questions, why wouldn't the army guys use the tank more effectively?, why did that .50 cal still have rounds?, are all cops down south such bad shots that they had to unload maybe 50 rounds on the guys in that car? ..........what's the dilemma with putting down your zombie wife?

The only thing I could think of is if there are a massive amount of zombies that rush a post or blockade. I mean you can fire uncontrollably, but if you have 10,000 flesh eating bastards coming at you, than you're screwed.

His concious is getting to him. He believes he's killing his wife, rather than shooting a dead body walking around. If it were my wife, I'd blow her head off rather than her walking around aimlessly.

What's messed up is his cop partner is banging his wife.

The national hit rate for LEs is about 65% for daylight shootings and 45% for low light.

Well, he does know that she knows how to turn off the light. Whats not to like?

I laughed uncontrollably during that whole light scene as I had had that exact conversation with my girlfriend not two days ago. You could pick out my apartment from space with the amount of lights that are on at all times.

I like the show so far. In the last scene, I find myself thinking, "Man, theres a HMMWV RIGHT THERE. It has a 50 with a full box of rounds and the belt is already fed in and set up. Id squeeze a few off and then start that bitch up and start running everyone over." Are we to assume that every vehicle in Atlanta on the streets is out of fuel?

I wonder whats going to happen to the guy and his kid. They all know where they are now since he decided to shoot zombies and get his wife to show up.

Got a season pass on the DVR. Excellent, but they destroyed a GTO Judge, I had to turn away from that horror.

God I hate the fact that Hollywood has to destroy vintage cars for effect. :banghead:
