I guess you have a point D. But i will still say Deja did a nice job with the coating and it looks nice. He prepared the surface like he supposed to and he took his time. But, to each their own i guess...

My rovertym sliders are rhino lined, does that make them crap? And before you ask, no the bottom of the sliders is not textured. I got them to make the bottom smooth so it does in fact still "slide" over shit....

I'm not a fan of lining at all. Anywhere. Not even in the bed of a truck. But lining your sliders makes a hell of a lot more sense than lining a roof rack. Especially an SD rack. At least the lining will give your foot some traction when getting in/out of the vehicle....

But you're also comparing a pair of RTE sliders to an SD rack. Those sliders can be replaced. They can even be sand blasted and re-painted if you needed to. Could you imagine sand blasting an SD rack? That would suck. You would go through 800lbs of blasting media and it would take for ever. It would cost you more to sand blast the rack then what the rack is worth.

Alright guys. Here are the pics of the rack. Hopefully the links work on here. And just to justify myself, I didnt just strip a perfectly good rack and spray it. There were a few spots where the powder coating was chipped off and I didnt just want to spot paint the rack with a can of satan black paint. I doubt most of you would never of known it was sprayed if I wouldnt of mentioned it. Sorry about some of the whiteness in the pictures. With the snow, it definitely washed out some of the pics.

Oh yeah, that's ruined! Wow! Good Lord, that's the worst thing I've ever seen! The "integrity" is shot and any aesthetic quality it did have is long gone now! Jesus, Holy Mary Mother of God! What has come to our hobby that a man would treat a car rack like that? Dammit! I weep for the SD Racks across the globe!

It's like putting a Zebco reel on a H. L. Leonard flyrod.

You should get this rack, JB.

I am deeply saddened to know that this spray made the "integrity" of the rack so bad that it will never again be able to support a roof full of cargo, lights or serve any functional purpose. I don't know how it ever served a funtional purpose for me. If anyone is looking for an SD rack just to say you have one, then you shouldn't buy this one as it is junk. However, if you want a functional rack that will last you for years and live up to the SD name, let me know. Haha! Better hurry though because I may take it to the dump this weekend!
