More info on this one please... Also, would you consider the equivalent for the trans cooler lines?

more info to follow stand by ......:victory:

Good price. About the same price I found mine for locally, after much running around. Unless you're an insider, you won't find them cheaper.

None Taken:: They Too Will Leak Again, how ever this set up is field repairable:)

I think you meant it is everything you need to jerry rig your old lines. No thanks, Trailhead 4x4 has a real solution, why not work a group buy with Eric, that would be a real step in the right direction.

I am not going to continue this counter-productive discussion with you.

What I am offering is a replacement for the original setup that will eventually leak. The lower priced setup that I offer allows for field replacement of busted hoses by simply slicing the torn hose and replacing with bulk low-pressure hydraulic hose.

Once a person has replaced the seepage prone factory hoses with my replacement setup, field repairs can be accomplished easily without the need for a dedicated braided hose that one may or may not have a spare for. Of course, should this failure occur in less dangerous environs, the benefits are the same-so far, I've suffered a PAS hose failure in the parking lot of the old shop and caught the brake line before it burst.

If you wish to outfit your truck with something that requires you to carry a dedicated spare, so be it. If you want something that can be easily obtained anywhere, or better yet, carried in bulk (yes, I do carry a roll of 1/2" hydraulic hose when wheeling for just such an event, doesn't everyone?) the setup I offer is for you.

If OTOH, you absolutely have to have braided stainless hose (if you have the time and interest, I can tell you the stories of my worn-through power steering hose AND the worn-through brake line, both braided stainless) I offer fittings and hoses to accomplish this as well!

In the meantime, those who wish to use what I have proven over the past four or five years is an accepted method, the advertised setup is available.

We can continue to debate this topic, however, it will serve no purpose other than to make me look bad and inflate your ego.

Cheers,
PT

I think this is cute, monthly part specials from PT's parts circus. But you are right, it is making you look bad. Or rather Afi is making you look bad.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Of course "right" is open to interpretation, but honestly I dont think offering a fuckin rig-em-up kit for $65 is right when new lines are $77?

Honestly why not just sell the block off plugs? The '02.5 and up trucks did away with the oil cooler lines altogether.

someone hasn't gotten any lately.

he explained his reasoning for selling. they arent for everyone, apparently you're one of those people. You arent paying $65 to cheapen your rig, you're paying to change it up a bit depending on your wants/needs. I don't see the big deal. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

We all appreciate you "looking out for the community" by calling BS on a bogus product. You think Paul is one to bring something like that to the table?
