I got in a accident with my Honda CRV... Yes I know it is a girl car but hey it gets good MPG over the rover. Should I fix this up or not? The unibody is slightly tweak to make the driver side tire toe out and I don't know if it would be worth to have it fixed or not. The repairs would be out of pocket.

I would like to be able to salvage this because I have been needing a good MPG car because of taking care of things back home in Huntsville and the rover MPG does not allow it.

In the infamous words of NWA...
then wrapped the 6 fo' round a telephone pole
I looked at ma' car and I said "oh brother"
I'll throw it in the gutter and go buy another

Seriously though, that's a lot to repair on a car that isn't worth that much. Then you could deal with more issues down the line stemming from this.

Its kind of pointless to sit here and determine its fate when you don't have an estimate to repair it. Would you get any insurance money if it were totalled out? Or are we just talking scrap value?

A friend of mine with the same body style CRV as yours recently got t-boned. Insurance totaled her car and cut her a check for $6,000. Now she's bummed because she can't find another one for the same amount as the payout. YMMV, but there's one data point for you.

This is a good point. Sometimes, KBB values are way off of what the market bears. For Discos, for example, we all know KBB is a mile high. For CRVs though, I'm guessing the opposite is true.

If the frame (unibody) of the car is bent such that the wheel is toed in a significant amount, any insurance company would total it. If it's not much, you might be able to adjust it out with alignment, but... I dunno Timmers, looks to me like you may have a new vaginamobile in your near future. Gonna go for a Lesbaru this time? Or stick with the Cute Runabout Vehicle? (yes, it actually stands for that)

That can be fixed. I've seen hits way worse than that get repaired to the point you can't tell if it ever got hit before. With the new technologies, they can fix almost anything.

It all comes down to insurance value vs repair cost.

We will see. Once I get my AR back from the gunsmith I may sell it too fix up the CRV or see if someone has a good mpg car to trade for it.

Yeah. Dont sell an AR for the CRV; especially when the latter can be replaced easier than a said AR, with some work already done to it. Get an estimate on fixing the CRV as others have mentioned so that you can make a financially sound, as opposed to emotionally attached/convenience based decision.

Somebody is selling a cherry 79 300TD wagon with 175kmi a few miles from my house for $5950. I'd take that over a CRV any day.
