Note to self: keep the spare ECU and other electronic components in a Pelican case, replace cheesy factory breather lines with something more substantial, route them uphill and cap with little K&N filters...

maybe optimistic, but thats almost always the trouble side on a D1 no start or intermittent problem

New brake switch too, and rip out the lockout solenoids in the shifters if you haven't already.

and every fluid should get changed too. And clean the fuel pump plug.

I don't think the trans is hurt cause he didn't drive it . Get the water out of it and hope for the best . But the electronics are screwed . Even if you got it running now your gonna have a truck with all kinds of intermittent shit going on . Find a nice 99 SD and start transferring parts . $3500 would find a nice truck I think .
