:banghead:
Decided to drive the Disco to work today in the massive Houston floods. Slept straight through and didn't bother to watch the news this morning or I would have known better.
Snorkel did fine and passed through one or two low spots with water over the hood before the one in the photos. One was taken right before it stalled...the other just after. I crawled out over the hood and disconnected the battery as soon as possible to try and save the electrics, not sure if I succeeded. I sat for almost 3 hours before the water went down enough for the wife to come tow me home.
A little embarrassing to sit there stalled out in the lifted, snorkeled Discovery! Lots of photos from the spectators, I am probably #trending on some social media somewhere!:dork:
Got it home now, plugs out and turned over, oil drained, but the electrics are wacky, all sorts of involuntary stuff going on.
Lucky there were no issues at the house, I am on the southwest side of town that was hit the hardest.
Oh well, all good fun.
