Hi Again,

So I bought a used LR hitch for the 03 Disco ..... big bugger and a 2" rec.

So having towed bugger all in the past, does anyone have any advice or do
they know the hitch capacity? It bolted on to the underside of the frame
with two bolts and then two meaty bars back to each of the the spring bolts,
one in each end and two more bolts on the other end of the bars to the hitch.

Looks pretty tough, also any suggestions on how to wire up a set of trailer lights?

From the Owner's Manual - Page 120

5,500 lbs in high range with max tongue weight of 385 lbs

Behind the right rear (pass side) taillight is the harness you need.
It hangs down a bit off of the loom and is held to the body with
a bracket. It's a 7 pin flat meant to mate up with an LR specific harness.
You can get an extension to run down to under the bumper. No special LR kit needed. It's universal wiring.
If you want 4 pin flat then adapters are available or you can wire just as 4 pin.
