So, I searched...I know the info's here somewhere but I wasn't able to come up with it so if someone can help or refer me to a thread I'd be very appreicative. I looked at a 91 RRC today that shifts fine "manually" but not in drive. I know I've read about that problem but the people didn't warn me about it before I came to look so I didn't get to read up. Also, the brakes are almost non-existant. If you jam them down the truck stops but I only tried it at about 10mph (which also means I took the seller's word for it that the truck shifted fine from 2 to 3 to drive). They were asking $2K so I told them no chance and refered them to a good shop and a couple websites in case they were interested in some good info. The only reason I'm persuing it is because the body seems to be in fairly nice shape and the interior is tolerable. A little rust on the rockers and what appears to be minimal surface rust in the rear wheelwells. Thanks in advance.
