transmission or wheel spin?

got a problem when I accelerate i feel as if the transmission keeps going. it keeps still revving. i let off the pedal it will stay there and then finialyl go back down. I can almost feel it shift. It mostly does it when i Turn like once i get going past 50 its fine. Driving around town is when it really happens. Also it will all of a sudden rev. like crazy and i didnt even push down on the accelerator.

any one have a clue??

Full-time 4wd in an under-powered, heavy beast. I think we can eliminate wheel spin from the possibilities

Sounds like slipping to me. Have you changed fluid lately? Is your down-shift cable tight on the throttle body? Mine worked its way loose and caused hard shifting issues.

yea i got my transmission fluid changed recently.
