The only one that's guaranteed to still be made in the USA is Precision #344. RockAuto.com sells them for $17.03. There's some question as to where the Neapco 1-0005's or PDQ 1-0005's are made. Reports and opinions about all tend to vary.

Autozone and Advance Auto Parts don't carry the PDQ anymore, just Made in China stuff. You may be lucky and find NOS however.

the 344 joint does not work on a rear propshaft. i bought 2 and could not them to work cause they were not metric ujoints i then took it to a local shaft shop here in vegas and they replaced them with new joints and rebalanced the shaft for less than what i paid for at napa(inc snap ring pliers).

Yes, unfortunately noone makes u-joints for these trucks anymore. That's why you can pick them up so cheap. Once the driveshaft goes bad you have to throw the whole vehicle away. Bummer.

well here is the story the 344 was almost as big as a 1310 and did not fit the yokes and after half a day trying to persuade it i had enough and took it to driveline shop and they had the right joints. have you guys ever put the 344 joints in? mine was a 97.

Yes. 2000 D2 and RRC rear shaft. The 97 is no different then any of the other Rover driveshafts.
So what u-joints did the shop put in?

maybe so, and by all means man i never get offended by comments but when i took it to the driveline shop, i was like i have put in many u joints(esp working at gm dealership) and i have never had an issue like this, when i went back the guy said it was a wrong joint (1310 i think) and i was like thank god cause i was looking like a monkey humping a football on that one.
