I'm going to fix my shit and try this. It might be cool.
Hopefully the little wiring bypass trick will sort out my amigos. If it does, I'll be able to see what an updated traction control system can accomplish. It was neat before, but nothing worth keeping around, especially since the system is inherently unreliable.
If I could have bought the vehicle without the entire system, I would have done so.
If I can get it stable for a while, and notice enough improvement with the new ECU, the system might be of some value to me. Of course, that's assuming it will even fire properly after all this time. It seems to hiccup every now and again, so I suppose it still works.
It's just got to show me that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, of which there are many, to my mind.
Lots of wire, a computer, all those funny lines, the modulator perfectly positioned to be in my way, those dumb-ass wheel sensors, and so on... Bugs the hell out of me, but removing everything while keeping the rest of the vehicle working properly seems more difficult than I thought.
May as well see if I can make it better.
