OK so I recently replaced the valley pan gasket. Was good for about 1,000 miles or so and now I am leaking a ton of coolant out of the back of the valley again.. :banghead:

I figured I had a loose bolt or something which was strange because I used loc tite and torqued them to spec in from the center out. but to my surprise all of the bolts were tight. The only thing I didnt do is put a sealant around the coolant passages which leads me to my question. Is that my issue? The gasket looked "normal" and the surfaces and clean and smooth.

Could something else be out of wack causing this? Hoses are all in good shape etc and the coolant is 100% coming from the valley.

where's it leaking? at the edges of the intake manifold or the edges of the valley pan gasket? If you didn't seal the edges of the manifold gasket it's going to leak

Hell I don't know! I'm just going to get a new gasket and put sealant on all mating surfaces coolant passes thru.

before you go nuts...pull the intake, seal the rubber gasket and see if that stop the leak. I ran a bead of goo along the entire edge...

yeah, I said goo

Not sure what you mean by rubber intake gasket. Are you talking about the end seals?
